PolyU and FHKI sign MoU to inject new impetus into I&T for driving Hong Kong's re-industrialization

    On June 13, 2022, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deepen their partnership and foster university-industry collaboration. With the aim of nurturing innovation and technology (I&T) talent and supporting start-ups, the partnership will focus on promoting the exchange of industry insights and addressing I&T needs over the coming year. 

    This will contribute to the future industrial development of Hong Kong by leveraging PolyU’s latest technological and scientific research and proactively promoting the development of Hong Kong’s I&T and related industries.

    As the leading enterprise, JMA has attached great importance to the integration and cooperation of industry, education and research, and actively explored the development of industrialization. Ricky Chan has expressed his views many times in public on reindustrialization, diversified economy, grassroots employment, cultivation of industrial professionals, etc. and proposed in Hong Kong Wen Wei Po before, 



    1. The new listing system of Hong Kong Stock Exchange can encourage more non pharmaceutical biotechnology companies to go public.
    2. Advocated the establishment of Advanced Electronics Industry Alliance in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, promoted the establishment of mutual recognition system for food processing between the two places, and implement the long-term industrial land planning in the New Territories. 

    3. The epidemic situation reflects the need for Hong Kong to develop a diversified economy. It is hoped that the government will further implement the policy of supporting re- industrialization.

   4. Suggested that the government should provide one-stop services for resources recycling enterprises, and accelerate the procedures for applying for licenses.

   5. Advocate junior colleges to open application subjects, cultivate industrial professionals, encourage apprentices to go for the internship in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

    Regularly update the talent list, focus on the development of Greater Bay District, do the best currently, firmly grasp the pulse of the times, continuously improve ourselves, keep up with the development of the times, follow the pace of the company's development, and believe we will have a bright future.
